Technical Study Tour to Germany about "Investigations of Demolition Management and Asbestos Security Applications for Demolition in Country Case Studies"

 On 03-07th March 2015, our General Directorate Staff and Res.Dr. Mustafa KARA, from TÜBİTAK-MAM (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) participated to the business visit held for “The Investigations of Demolition Management and Asbestos Security Applications for Demolition in Country Case Studies and Monitoring of 21st National German Demolition Union Symposium Studies” in cities of Düsseldorf and Berlin, Germany.

Within the scope of this study tour, the meetings are held with the companies of DECONTA GmbH, COMPETENZA Concept Analytic Academy GmbH, HALTER Sprengung Abbruch Kampfmittelraumung GmbH. The group also participated to the 21. Demolition Conference held by the German Demolition Union (Deutscher Abbruchverband e.V.)

This study tour is actualized in three phases. In the first phase “Applications of Asbestos Security in Demolitions in Germany” is focused; equipment and cabinet system production in the factory of DECONTA GmbH is studied; information is provided related to asbestos security related legislations, applications, technical equipments and running of asbestos management system.
 
In the second phase of the tour; the legislation related to building demolitions with explosives in Germany, applications, technical equipments, training of the staff and its certifications are examined; and TNT, Nitro Selulose, Capsule and C4 explosions under the supervision of Berlin Police Department are observed.
 
In the last phase of the tour, the visiting group participated to the 21. Demolition Conference held by the German Demolition Union (Deutscher Abbruchverband e.V.) on 06-07th March, 2015 and the issues of recycling of demolition and demolition waste, life safety at demolitions, technology and equipments were consulted with many companies and institutions.
